**To list the databases in a data catalog**

The following ``list-databases`` example lists the databases in the ``AwsDataCatalog`` data catalog. ::

    aws athena list-databases \
        --catalog-name AwsDataCatalog

Output::

                "Name": "default"
            },
            {
                "Name": "mydatabase"
            },
            {
